I have been reticent about starting a blog.  Like previous attempts at journaling or writing for non-work related purposes, I just felt I would have given up in less than 10 days. So if next time you come here this blog is dead you know it’s not you, it’s me.

The idea of this blog was (originally) to post some thoughts on the economic impacts of transition in Egypt after January 25, 2011 – hence the militant blog name. Being a GLBT activist and having a passion for photography, languages and food some interferences have disrupted the econ broadcast.

Now I am a first-year candidate for a Master’s in Public Administration at a fancy US school. So the blogging will slightly reshift its geographic focus but the interferences will continue.
